Overview

लाल building — "The Red Building" is a public housing scheme for the Economically Weaker Section. The residents, on rent, work as helpers in the neighbourhood homes of the bureaucrats and other jobs.It comprises of a uniquely diverse population of people across India and neighbouring countries. Residents come from small cities to Delhi to look for work and a better life. These standardized designs of houses - now their homes, give rise to various narratives of the people's dreams and aspirations. The project is a study of these similarly designed houses and how it changes and adapts to the family living in it.
